Cocoa Brown 1 Hour Tan

Hello there;

I know I will probably get told off for this, but I used to go on the sun beds, a lot. Up to two times a week and sometimes 12 minutes at a time. Then I got a severer telling off from my mum, I knew I needed to stop but I enjoyed it too much. I hate being pale. After this telling off, I did stop so it was time to start using fake tan. I have used fake tan in the past, usually Fake Bake or St. Tropez. They are fantastic self tanners, I cannot take that away from them. But there is a cheeky little Irish company on the market that is taking their spotlight a tad. Cocoa Brown

Cocoa Brown firstly are fantastic with interacting with their customers. I have many a conversation with them on Twitter. I knew I had to try their products just from them being so friendly. It was Marissa Carters aim to make a fake tan that dried fast, didn't have the typical fake tan smell and looked natural. Did she manage it though?!

I chose the 1 Hour Tan Mousse (£7.99), well because I am lazy and if I want a quick pop of colour only waiting a hour is perfect for me. With this mousse you can leave it on for a hour but up to three hours if you want a darker tan. Lucky for you today I have pictures of the stages of this tan developing.

Yes, I really am that pale.

Straight away, you can see the colour difference. Its a really natural looking tan. One of the first things I noticed from using this tan is how fast it dries! I am usually walking around the house naked for 10-15 minutes wafting my arms about like a mad woman. But no joke in less than 10 minutes this was dry and I was dressed.

Once your desired tan time is up, pop into the shower and let the water rinse off the excess. And this is the finally product. Lets just take a quick second to appreciate how natural it looks. No streaks, it covered my knobbly bits with no extra product gathered around the edges, I hate orange knees. And I know the next one is no use for you as we don't have smellovision, but it doesn't have the fake fan smell! It has a slight floral smell to it. Even more boyfriend commented on how nice it smelt, so it must be a good smell!

I really cannot recommend Cocoa Brown enough. I will never not use anything else now, their prices are fantastic. They are so customer focused and are now in most Superdrugs/Primarks around the UK. Oh and did I mention Millie Mackintosh is a fan too!

Have you tried Cocoa Brown before?!

  2. I'm not really into fake tanning because I've always been so scared of going orange, but this tan you have used looks so, so natural and I really like the sound of it! Maybe I'll have to brave it and give it a go! xo

  6. I keep meaning to give this a go, when I was in school I constantly had streaky legs and smelled like digestives and I'd paid a fortune for the privilege, poor pale me! I wish this had been around then!

  7. I always used to use sun beds too, and for some reason I didn't even care. Now I am the total opposite and hate the effects sun can have on my skin. Part from the tan! I do love this tanner as well, I couldn't believe how good it is for the money. I am sworn off other brands too!
